Too early to write off Kessel

Watching Phil Kessel go through one of his many scoring slumps is painful. But on the other hand when he gets into a scoring streak it is a pleasure to watch. The way that I look at it, Kessel is a young player, 4th youngest on the team after Luke Schenn, James Reimer and Keith Aulie. He is going to get better and have better linemates in the future. He is a skill player with a scoring touch that is as rare as good rushing defenseman. His 6 goals in the past 5 games reinforces what he is about.

He will likely never be considered good enough to justify giving up two 1st round and one 2nd round picks. It doesn't matter because that is in the past. Instead fans should enjoy what he brings to the team and not worry what went the other way.
